Our once family-owned business, founded by Henrietta and Jim Speedie in Phoenix in 1980, today honors their legacy of dedication to our clients in Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, Show Low, and throughout the state. Now part of the UES family of businesses, S&A has even greater resources to help solve our clients' biggest concerns while remaining locally operated. Each of our offices in Phoenix, Flagstaff, and Tucson are fully staffed and equipped to provide the following services: Geotechnical Investigations Construction Materials Testing Special Structural Inspection Environmental Engineering/Site Assessments Floor Surface Analysis Roofing Inspection Forensic Analyses of Problem Sites Asbestos Inspections, Mgt Plans, Abatement Oversight Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Speedie & Associates is known for working with owners and design teams, and providing sound, economical solutions. Our field and laboratory staff of 45 +/- participate in technician certification programs administered by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), the Arizona Technical Testing Institute (ATTI), and the American Concrete Institute (ACI). The International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) certifies our senior technicians. Additionally, our Phoenix & Tucson laboratories have been inspected by the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL), the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) and the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) where we also participate in their reference sample and quality assurance programs.
