The Technological Institute of Textile and Sciences (TIT&S), founded in 1943, offers engineering programs and postgraduate programs. It is one of the oldest colleges in India. This institute is among those few institutes (the others being the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institute of Technology) in India that offer degrees in technology (B. Tech. with Honors) at the undergraduate level as opposed to the B.E.
