Vision:2025 is vision for a sustainable live events industry, taking action on climate and ecological crisis.Vision:2025 reports on the environmental impacts of the UK festival & event industry and provides resources tools and guides to catalyse change toward more sustainable practices. Through The Show Must Go On report and an online Knowledge Hub we share up-to-date resources, case studies and profiles of events and suppliers who are leading the way on best practice in key areas of impact; energy, resources and waste, water, travel & transport, food and governance. The Festival Vision:2025 pledge brings together festivals and events that ate taking action to create a sustainable future. Over 100 festivals have taken the pledge of aiming to achieve a 50% reduction in festival-related annual GHG emissions by 2025. Vision:2025 was launched by industry think-tank Powerful Thinking, as part of the 1st edition Show Must Go On report, a festival industry response to COP21, the 2015 global climate change talks in Paris. Updated in 2020, in a 2nd edition of the report, Vision 2025 outlines UK festival industry impacts on the environment and aims to provide a robust basis for an industry-wide action. The Vision is supported and informed by the event industry vision:2025 sustainability group with members; Julie's Bicycle, Festival Republic, Kambe Events(Shambala Festival), Lansdowne Warwick, Brown Fox Comms, The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), The Association of Festival Organisers (AFO), The National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA), The Production Services Association (PSA), SMART Power Ltd, ZAP Concepts, and The Nationwide Caterers Association (NCASS), Without Walls, and the South West Events Forum (SWEV).Vision2025 builds on Powerful Thinking steering groups' 10 years of experience in leading environmental changes in the industry.
