Pubget develops cloud-based content access tools for scientists and researchers. The company’s core product, Pubget.com, is a free site for legally finding and directly retrieving research papers. The site provides access to content from 450 libraries around the world in science and engineering, weighted toward biomedical science, but including content in arXiv, JStor, and IEEE. Pubget also provides content tools for industry and libraries. All are hosted and sold via a freemium model. Pubget’s investors and advisors include executives from Partner’s Healthcare, Twitter, Health Dialog, academics from Harvard Medical School, and Boston-Area angels. Pubget is a wholly owned subsidiary of Copyright Clearance Center.
