Lemonade Stand Economics teaches high school students how to work for themselves and earn enough money to pay for college without needing student loans. Paying for college is easy if you know what to do but that's the problem, most high school students don't know what to do or where to start.In the world of, "I want easy money," I introduce a radical idea. Work hard, work smart and pay for college with money you earn yourself. If a student works, earns a substantial amount of money per hour and pays for school semester by semester, no loans are necessary. It's a concept totally contrary to current popular thinking, but it's just that simple. I know because I did it and I know others that have done it too.TEACHERS: 20 of the 29 financial literacy standards and benchmarks were written into the book but the readers would never know it because it does not read like a typical textbook. High schools are now using Lemonade Stand Economics as a supplemental textbook in PFM (personal finance management) classes to teach students how to make a "student loan free" plan to pay for college.
