While there are now many speakersystems that are dramatically smaller in size, they do not sound as good as there larger counterparts. Mostspeaker drivers need a large enclosure (or "box of air") to sound good. As a result, the smaller the box,the less air, the more compromised the sound quality.Our patented Edge Motion technology audio systems use a very different mechanical principal to generatesound. Instead of pushing from behind, like a traditional cone speaker does, Edge Motion-driven speakersactuate a thin membrane along the side in a manner that creates an extremely efficient, piston-like motionin front. The resultant speaker system is thin and lightweight yet produces a rich, full sound across theaudio range.
