The USAID Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity works with USAID's implementing partners, local institutions, and the Government of Jordan to ensure USAID's activities in Jordan achieve their intended results through monitoring and evaluation, strategic assessments, collaborating, learning, and adapting.The activity trains and guides monitoring and evaluation specialists, technical staff, and senior management within USAID and its implementing partners to help them carefully and effectively monitor and evaluate achievements against their intended results. Knowledge management platforms such as DevResults and USAID's Jordan Development Knowledge Management Portal "jordankmportal.com", are developed and enhanced to encourage the use of data to improve assessments and decision making. This USAID-funded activity supports the Government of Jordan, local firms, academia, NGOs, and professionals to improve their ability to manage monitoring and evaluation of development initiatives, to develop a cadre of local experts. As a result, the activity will, thereby strengthen Jordan's MEL community, reducing the need for USAID monitoring and evaluation assistance in the future. Coordination with local institutions create a monitoring, evaluation, and learning community of practice to support the long-term sustainability of this work in Jordan.
