Founded in 2011 and a key division of London Higher, AccessHE is the pan-London organisation that aims to support the progression of under-represented groups to higher education (HE). It does this by enabling HE institutions (HEIs), schools and colleges to achieve their objectives on widening access to HE more efficiently and effectively. Our vision embodies our commitment to greater equality in access to HE: Higher Education can be accessed by everyone in London who has the ability and desire to attend, regardless of their background or characteristics.AccessHE has a Steering Group – reporting to the London Higher Board – which is made up of representatives from the higher education, school and college sectors. It is managed by a small team with specialist skills in developing and delivering access to HE.As a self-sustaining organisation, AccessHE is funded by subscriptions primarily from HEIs. It currently has 25 HEI members with input from schools, colleges, HE-sector and voluntary organisations across London and beyond.
