The AST Institute (Advanced Sports Training or ASTI) is a Washington state based non-profit organization. ASTI's mission and vision is to help drive education on athletic performance maximization while reducing injuries during competition, practice and conditioning. The AST Institute has created a unique training program in that is the ONLY program developed specifically to enhance athletic performance during competition and to minimize the risk of all lower body injuries, and the risk of injuries that occur when falling to the ground during play.Unique features of ASTI's sports training are:•PERFORMANCE MAXIMIZATION•CONCUSSION, HEAD, NECK OR SPINAL CORD TRAUMA PREVENTION•REPETITIVE STRESS INJURY RISK MINIMIZATION Our goal is to take a multi-disciplinary approach to performance maximization and athletic injury prevention. We have taken principles proven to reduce occupational injuries, added in U.S. Army Ranger landing technique, and elite body building methods. Along with research published by credentialed members of the sports medical community, we have combined this all with elements of Martial Arts that apply to sports.Today's athletes are using techniques that increase the risk of repetitive stress injuries and impair their athletic performance. Today's coaches and trainers are using conditioning and training techniques that do the same. The AST Institute's techniques address these and other lower body performance issues.
