TBO is a small and thriving Reform congregation with a growing membership. Three families started Temple Beth Ora in 1979 and through the years, we have grown to over 100 families. We have always been much more than a congregation, we are a community. We are committed to egalitarianism, encourage involvement from people of all ages, and welcome members from interfaith families. We offer opportunities to connect with our traditions through the study of Torah, studies of Jewish texts, family programming, adult education Havdalah evenings, festival meals, Shabbat and High Holy Day services and other shared programming. Our Caring Network aids congregants in need by providing meals, social contacts and extending additional support as needed. We participate in and contribute to a variety of programs and organizations in the local Jewish community. In the Edmonton region, our Social Action Committee and individual members help to collect food and clothing for those in need, volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, and strengthen ties to the Christian, Muslim and other faith communities by partnering with local interfaith organizations.
