PLACE is an award-winning practice of urban designers and landscape architects, involved in a range of schemes including urban design and public spaces, masterplans, commercial, residential and leisure developments, education, healthcare and community projects, historic landscapes, overseas work and LVIA assessments. Our work is about creating well-designed places that provide people with a sense of belonging and community. We are committed to creating sustainable and appropriate design solutions which are in keeping with their context. As a design-led practice, design dialogue, innovation and critical review are central to our working methods. This enables us to provide our clients with a consistent, high quality service of which we are proud. PLACE amalgamated with Bell Fischer Landscape Architects in November 2016. The company is an employee owned trust that encourages the involvement of all staff in the success of the company and provides an ethos of excellence. The team has national and international experience, with a commitment to high standards in design and implementation, creating carefully conceived and well-executed landscapes. Our expertise enables us to provide impartial advice to Government through CABE (the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment), local Design Review Panels and through our work with the Landscape Institute. The practice is led by directors Gordon Bell, Tony Edwards and Giles Hopgood. The practice is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited and complies with environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice.
