Dr. Aalgaard Kelly, PhD is a medical sociologist and gerontologist with 20+ years of research, teaching and grant writing experience in higher education, community organization collaborations and individual projects. She is also an author with numerous publications. Scope of research, assessment, evaluation and grant writing encompasses medical sociology, gerontology and health/wellness of individuals, families and society. Selected specialization areas include quality of life, family congruence, long term care, mental health and illness, substance use/abuse and successful aging. Theoretical and methodical expertise areas includes quantitative, qualitative and mixed approaches of inquiry.
