Journal of Childhood, Education & Society [JCES] is an international peer-reviewed journal which accepts research and critical review articles in English, and it is published semi-annually online. JCES intends to provide a medium for sharing interdisciplinary research studies that focus on childhood internationally, and the implications of this work for social and educational practices in collaboration with researchers, practitioners and policy makers. In this way, this journal publishes both qualitative and quantitative research and critical review articles on childhood from developmental, pedagogical and sociological areas. Also, the research and review articles that link theory and practice, and produce informative resources for educators, practitioners and policy makers are our current priority, and particularly welcome. JCES emphasizes the importance of studying childhood from an interdisciplinary perspective. Therefore, we are likely to accept papers on qualified interdisciplinary studies including but not limited to the following areas of interest: 1) child development across ages (birth through 8 years of age) and different contexts, 2) early childhood education, policy making, curricula development, 3) early childhood special education, 4) best classroom practices and professional development for educators and practitioners, 5) early childhood family studies, and intervention programs, and 6) early childhood and social studies. The Editors and Editorial Board encourage the submission of relevant, high-quality papers. We also occasionally consider special editions and commentaries for publication.
