I am a stained glass artist based in Kelowna, BC. I work in a traditional stained glass method of using copper foil and soldering each piece together but that's about as far as tradition goes. I like to think outside the box and create unique pieces using found glass as well rocks and art glass. From your grandmother's old dishes to an autographed baseball or golf ball, a beautifully sliced agate to ring dishes, I find ways to incorporate almost anything into a hanging piece of window art.I LOVE doing commissions for people - whether it's a streetlight that's driving your nuts at night, a nosey neighbour that's watching you through your kitchen window or just the desire to fill a window in your home with something original and colourful. I can come to your house and see your decor, figure out what you'd like then draw it up. Once you OK the drawing and I show you the glass, then it's into my studio I go and within a few weeks, voila! You have a beautiful piece of art that will be completely original. Did you inherit your aunt's old crystal dishes and don't know what to do with them? Let me come over and pick out a few choice pieces and turn them into a keepsake that you will actually love instead of leaving them in a box!I also LOVE doing logos for companies. While trying to find the exact colours can sometimes be a challenge, once again, everything gets pre-approved before I build it.Seasonally, I create Christmas ornaments and Valentines heArts and can be found selling my stuff at local Christmas markets.
