Institute of Risk Management Tanzania (IRMT) is a professional organization established under Chapter 212 of the Laws of Tanzania with a mandate to promote the common interest and advance the theory and practice of risk management of persons carrying in the risk management profession in the United Republic of Tanzania. Any person who is practicing the risk management profession and any person who is interested in risk management can be a member of the Institute of Risk Management of Tanzania.The membership categories are divided into two groups as follows:Group A:1. Affiliate member A person with an interest in the theory and practice of Risk Management 2. Student member A person who is a Student of any higher learning institution and is interested in issues related to Risk Management.3. Corporate memberAn organization/institution that promotes and cherishes ideas of risk management or pays membership fees for employees.Group B:1. Certified Risk Management Member (CRMM)A person who has passed the institute professional examinations or acquired equivalent qualifications and has at least two years of verifiable practical experience in Risk Management Classification of CRMM:(i) Certified Risk Management Technician (CRMT)(ii) Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)(iii) Certified Financial Service Risk Specialist (CFSRS)(iv) ISO 31000: 2018 Certified Risk Manager (CRM) "Together we share and Progress"
