Ocean Elders is an independent group of global leaders who have joined together to use their collective influence, in cooperation with our partners, to pursue the protection of the ocean's habitat and wildlife. The Ocean Elders are H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Her Majesty Queen Noor, Sir Richard Branson, Jackson Browne, James Cameron, Dr. Rita Colwell, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Wade Davis, Jose Maria Figueres, Dr. Jane Goodall, Graeme Kelleher, Sven Lindblad, Gerry Lopez, Dr. Walter Munk, Catherine Novelli, Dr. Frederik Paulsen, Dr. Bertrand Piccard, Nainoa Thompson, Ted Turner, Captain Don Walsh, and Dr. E.O. WilsonOver the last five years, we have worked closely with partners to advocate for the creation, continued protection or expansion of numerous marine protected areas, the creation of Sustainable Development Goal 14, protection of marine wildlife, and a treaty for the high seas.
