The idea that a gallery can be financially successful without taking any commission from sales is something that Greg and Emily from Gallery Nine by Five Fremantle have been working on for a long time now. After relaunching the new gallery operation in late 2008, that idea has become a reality. ‘Never look back', is what we learnt in our first year of business. The gallery takes its name from the defining exhibition of the Heidelberg School. Rather than influencing the choice of artwork exhibited at the gallery, the work of legendary artists such as Tom Roberts and Arthur Streeton serves to set a precedent for excellence and an unforced enjoyment of the medium. The gallery also provides a number of other services such as web and print design, artwork delivery, artwork leasing, portrait painting commissions, fine art prints, in home or office consultation, gift and bridal registry and exhibition and gallery signage. Since its inception the gallery has been assisted by the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce, Art Source and other industry professionals.
