The Road Commission consists of four divisions which provide the following services to comprise the MCRC as a whole:Executive - The primary function of the Executive Division is to assist and facilitate in every way legally allowable the front line staff and workforce in their efforts to provide service to the citizens of Monroe County. Administration - The Administrative Services Division is comprised of the following departments: Human Resources, Purchasing, Finance/Accounting, and Customer Service/Reception. These departments provide ongoing support to the other departments of the Road Commission as well as to the motoring public of Monroe County. Engineering - The Engineering Division provides technical services for planning, designing, improving, maintaining and operating the county roadway system. Maintenance - The Maintenance Division performs routine maintenance on state, primary and local roads. There are a total of 1,584 miles of roads maintained by this Division. Within this Division are the following units: East District Maintenance, West District Maintenance, Drainage, Gradall, Mechanics, Sign Shop and Heavy Maintenance/Construction.
