In April 2012, Sumitomo Precision Products Co., Ltd. (SPP) established SPP Canada Aircraft, Inc., a wholly owned Ontario-Based subsidiary to serve as its North American business base, delivering world class landing gears for commercial aircraft. This past March, SPP Canada Aircraft, Inc. (SPPCA) held its Grand Opening Ceremony to commemorate the launch of its facility in Mississauga, Ontario. This inaugural celebration showcased SPPCA as the business front line of commercial landing gear products while demonstrating its extensive capability to the aerospace industry. This new company has assumed customer-service tasks which include marketing, design, engineering and R&D. It also performs final assembly of landing gears, mainly for regional and private business jets programs from its parent company SPP Japan. SPP Japan will continue to manufacture and perform detailed designs for components.SPPCA is committed to establish and maintain an efficient and effective quality management system based on AS9100 and other related standards. Certification of AS9100 by a third party register will be completed this August. In the coming months, SPPCA will also continue to develop its website, providing a personalized dedicated customer support page for all of its global aftermarket commercial landing gear system products.
