1882 Ventures, LLC, is excited to announce their purchase of the Blue Parrot building on Main Street in Louisville. Greg Maring and Mark Oberholzer, co-owners and Louisville residents, share a vision for the space that includes a collection of establishments that will together provide an integrated family-friendly gathering place with entertainment, food and beverage for all ages. "We both are raising our families here in Louisville and are committed to this community and its old town charm," says Greg Maring. "When we learned the owner of Blue Parrot was interested in selling, we felt it was the perfect fit. We value what the Blue Parrot started so many years ago and look forward to continuing their legacy of offering a place for friends and family to gather in our community." While details of the full makeup of these establishments are not yet available, the plan is to feature a restaurant on the ground floor, with entertainment options in the basement. One of those will include the return of Tilt, the local pinball arcade that recently closed down. Mark Oberholzer stated, "We are excited to be bringing Tilt back. Many of us were sorry to see it go, and we are going to make it even better than before." Timing of the new opening remains to be determined but is targeted for the Summer of 2017.
