ILLUME [/ɪˈl(j)uːm/] is the interdisciplinary research group as part of the EcoTech research center at the Gdańsk University of Technology (GUT), created to minimize the impact of artificial light pollution on people, flora and fauna. The members of the group have outstanding practical skills and research knowledge in these issues. Not only by consistently identifying important problems and research topics, but also by finding practical solutions to reduce or solve existing problems. The group is also developing methodologies for measuring artificial light pollution using modern photogrammetric and remote sensing methods, based on e.g. o processing and analysis of data obtained with a drone equipped with photosensitive sensors.
