Imagine a world without plastic waste. A place filled with art, beautiful spaces and thriving communities coming together to connect, play and collaborate. This is what the O Initiative aims to create. But right now, in Australia, we are stuck in a vicious cycle. Every day 1 million disposable water bottles end up in landfill, in our rivers and our oceans. We need water, but right now it's most accessible to us in disposable plastic bottles, and as a consequence, most of us are spending more money to create more waste. The O Initiative aims to break that cycle. With the O fountain art sculpture we can reduce waste, save money, and take part in building a beautiful space to cultivate a rich culture and community.By providing a beautiful, filtered water, refill station in public spaces, commissioned by local artists, we are supporting a sustainable and more beautiful future. The O fountain is featured nationally and internationally. These art pieces are diverse, and showing to be a point of attraction in both community and public spaces."The O Initiative fountains are an additional dose of creativity and culture to the newly redeveloped District Docklands centre" Julia Mihai | Project Manager, Wonderment Walk Victoria"The fountains draw people together, create curiosity, conversation and brings the centre to life."
