Social Networks for the Next Billion Internet UsersKakcho is a social networking company targeted at connecting the youth coming out of the Next Billion Internet users and democratize expression for them across media formats, languages and geographies.50% of the Indian population i.e. 650 Million people right now is youth and is below the age of 25, & 10% of these already have American social networking platforms working for them, but the remaining 590 Million feel out of place on these platforms, because of negligible local context.If you look at the current landscape,so much content that is being offered to NBU's, where is it eventually going?It is going only on WhatsApp and WhatsApp is truly limited in the social aspect. The youth are currently underserved & are in a dire need of ways to quench their social needs. After 25000 calls over 3 years and our personal experiences, we have realised that youth in the NBU's is not as connected to one another as we the English speaking youth are. They Don't feel comfortable and appropriate in expressing on the existing social networking sites and since for the longest time for almost 15 years, they were devoid of this beautiful thing called the internet they are beaming with questions and answers right now.So with our 3 app ecosystem, we connect the youth & democratise expression for them across media formats, geographies & language!FIVA: Fiva is a photo/video sharing app for the youth coming out of the NBU to get more out of their existing relationships, make new friends and express in a desired manner which is not limited to short videos.Charcha: Is an audio-only social network where users can create byte-sized audio expressing their thoughts, mood, state of mind etc.Sawal Jawab: Is a QnA platform where users can ask any question ranging from who discovered fan to what is the black hole.
