Probiotic soup (Tirshik Soup), a traditional cuisine, is made from the subspecies of the Arum maculatum plant that grows naturally in the Taurus mountains in Turkey. Tirshik Soup strengthens the immune system with its powerful antioxidant content proved with scientific research. On September 20, 2021, a regulation was published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, stating that Arum maculatum is afterall in the positive category in the list of plants that indicates edible and non-edible ones. Thus, The obstacles for commercial activities regarding Arum maculatum have gone away.For commercial mass production: lyophilized bacteria produced in the biotech lab and industrial biotechnical fermentation methods will be used. Liquid ready made soup will be produced for markets.
