The Trinity Neighborhood Clinic provides free healthcare services for individuals in the Hilltop Neighborhood. We are located in the intersection of Division and 6th Avenue of Tacoma and have been in operation since 1990, with our 501(c)3 status approved in 1995 under Jumpstart Enterprises. The Clinic is open every Tuesday evening as a walk-in clinic providing free medical/nursing care, sports physicals, and health support for our local community. On an average night we see 11 patients to include serving populations including people that are experiencing homeless; people that are unable to qualify for Medicaid or subsidized coverage; as well as people that experienced recent incarceration. In addition, we provide care to a culturally diverse population representing over nine languages with Spanish being the most predominant non-English language spoken.While healthcare reform has increased access to coverage for people who otherwise would not have healthcare insurance, barriers around coverage and access continue to exist. The Trinity Neighborhood Clinic acts as a safety net for our Hilltop neighborhood community to reduce barriers to healthcare access. Our clinic's mission is to provide culturally appropriate, whole-person care regardless of a person's ability to pay. In doing so, we are improving access to care as well as the health outcomes in our local community.
