The Vitetta Law Group is a Domestic Relations firm located in Charleston South Carolina. Vitetta Law Group was founded in 2002 by Guy Vitetta. Guy was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1981 he graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio with a BA degree in History and Religion. From 1982 to 1985 Guy worked for Citizen Action, a consumer lobbying group that organizes communities to address such emergent issues as safe handling of hazardous waste and the establishment of reasonable utility rates. From 1985 to 1988 Guy worked for Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services as a licensed broker specializing in selling and leasing industrial real estate. In 1988 Guy began Law School at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Guy graduated in 1991.Following graduation Guy served for two years as a Public Defender in Columbus, Ohio. In 1993 Guy and his wife Betsy moved to Charleston where he worked for nine years as a Public Defender with the Charleston County Public Defender's Office. In this position Guy was successful in representing indigent clients in General Sessions Court, South Carolina's main Criminal Trial Court. During this time, Guy conducted over 100 jury trials, including six murder cases, many with good results. Guy is now one of Charleston's most experienced trial lawyers. In 2002 Guy left the Public Defenders office and founded the Vitetta Law Group. In 2008 Courtney Kerce joined Guy as an attorney. Guy and Courtney work very closely together and have represented hundreds of people through the very difficult process of divorce and separation. Their decisive leadership and over 25 years of combined experience have helped them obtain excellent results for their clients.
