Basis Training and Education are the Social Issue Specialists. We design and deliver training on the issues affecting our communities today' such as child sexual exploitation (CSE), sexual violence and working with sexworkers. Our aim is to promote understanding of relevant social issues and empower professionals, young people and communities through high-quality, holistic training. All our courses are created to meet each individual organisation's needs and are CPD®-certified. Frontline practitioners deliver our courses with the latest techniques and styles, to ensure an interactive and engaging learning experience.Basis are part of a network of charitable projects with a key focus on child sexual exploitation and adult sex work. For many years we have informally delivered training to professionals and shared our expertise in order to raise awareness with young people. Developing this area of our work, we officially launched Basis in 2012 as a specialist training organisation.As a charity we reinvest all our income into our intensive service delivery, supporting victims of child sexual exploitation. Our heritage and grassroots work provides a unique foundation for providing effective and relevant training within current social issues.Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, we deliver training nationally, bringing our specialist knowledge and experience to organisations all over the UK. Our roots in a vibrant, cosmopolitan city allow us to understand, first hand, the challenges that both inner-city and leafy-lane communities face. This diversity provides our team with an in-depth understanding of how social issues such as CSE affect populations differently.Our training courses consistently rate 95% or higher on content and delivery, with compliments on the passion of our trainer,s their ability to refer to real life experience of working with girls experiencing CSE and a good mix of videos, sound clips and activiites.
