Maxine Wattam Paris is a hybrid designer brand, halfway between luxury lingerie and niche ready-to-wear. Maxine Wattam's collections - and most importantly the lingerie pieces - draw their inspiration from the particular aesthetic of "Kinbaku" the tradition of Japanese bondage as erotic art. This hybrid ready-to-wear collection is strongly infused by the designer's lingerie background. A favorite material, natural lambskin is combined with light contrasted fabrics such as Calais lace, cotton veil, silk crepe, or micro-tulle to create one of a kind pieces.Minimal cuts, graphic lines and metallic zips are characteristic of the ready-to-wear pieces. These are carried out by a family owned workshop in the heart of Paris.
