Our mission is recovery. We support individuals battling substance abuse disorder through our nationwide 10,000 Beds Scholarship Program. In 2016 we awarded just over $1,000,000 in addiction treatment scholarships through our extraordinary treatment program partners. In 2017, we awarded more than $2,5000,000, and by the end of 2018 we expect to reach $10,000,000 in total awarded addiction treatment scholarships! This is the miracle of 10,000 Beds.In 2017, our founder and CEO Jean Krisle and her husband Hal sold their home and purchased a 5th wheel RV, wrapped it in the 10,000 Beds logo and headed out #ontheroad4recovery to defend an addict's right to treatment, change the conversation around addiction and change perceptions of recovery. In 4 months they traveled more than 12,000 miles and visited 21 states. In 2018, our #ontheroad4recovery program started in late March and began in Southern California with our 1st Annual Gratitude Gala: Celebrating Recovery in Santa Ana, CA. We will spend most of this year west of Denver, but in September we will head east to Florida then up the eastern coastal states before heading home at the end of October. Our board members come from all walks of life, but share a personal association or experience with addiction. Our CEO Jean Krisle a leading advocate for ethics in the addiction industry and a member of the prestigious National Speakers Association, speaks on the topics of leadership, ethics in marketing, transparency, managing change and life/work balance. She is also a Member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council, past Rotary President, and with her husband Hal, parent to 11 children and 22 grandchildren.
