Founded in the early 90's by a handful of pharmacists with the insight to group together to create a group able to negotiate better terms with the suppliers, Avicenna has grown into a family of more than 1000 independent pharmacist members with the collective vision to continue to flourish in a changing marketplace.We are the UK's largest independent pharmacy support group. Avicenna continues to remain 100% independent. We are not aligned to any wholesaler ensuring that our vision and all of our advice remain completely impartial. Avicenna is entirely owned by its members, allowing them a voice in the way the company is run and in electing the directors.As a part of our commitment to growing value for our shareholders we are investing in developing a group of retail pharmacies. Currently our estate stands at 22 pharmacies based mostly in the south east of England.
