For the last 30 years, flying has been a joy and a passion. I thought that operating an aviation-based company would detract from my enjoyment, so I've been involved in a variety of other businesses and job roles...from employee to founder. Understanding why they do it...is the key to longevity.Here's the What:Family Aviation, Inc. is a private aviation services company that is more like a co-op. Our goal is to serve aircraft owners who will also be our investors. Then, we'll make charter services available to the public. So, the initial services will include aircraft management, dry and wet lease, then charter.Here's the how:Anyone who currently owns a plane can benefit from shared use of the aircraft. Higher utilization reduces the hourly costs and also dramatically reduces fixed annual and monthly costs. As we move into charter operations, ownership costs are further reduced through incremental revenue; proceeds from flying usage-base missions.Here's the why:There are a few reasons. The obvious include...1) Profit for our shareholders, management, and employees.2) The best in safety, with savings and superlative services for our clients.3) The pure experience of uncompromising efficiency and luxury.But, #4 is special.
