Project Coordinator, Community Health Worker Training at International HELP - Charlotte, NC, US
Our Mission: to educate and empower local people to develop their own communities for health improvement.International HELP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that comes alongside already established organizations and community groups to help educate and empower their community for the improvement of health. We act as consultants that provide health education relating to issues specific to the individual communities, namely those relating to nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene. International HELP started after our founder went to Nicaragua and trained local people to be health workers, providing them with the skills, resources, platform and group structure necessary to positively influence the health in their community. The program was created in a way to be sustainable and effective, run by the local people. Our desire is to implement that same idea in many places throughout the world by partnering with local organizations.
