Franklins Farm Shop sells free range chickens, ducks, rabbit, Gloucester Old Spot pork, Greensand Ridge lamb, and beef, and much, much more. From Michaelmas to Christmas, free range Geese, Bronze Turkeys and White Turkeys are available. Locally shot venison, pheasant, partridge and Hare are available in season. We are a family run business and started out life as a free range egg producer in 1987, supplying local shops and restaurants and doing a village egg round to supply many residents of Ickwell, Northill, Hatch and Thorncote Green with their weekly eggs. In 2001 the farmers markets started appearing around the County which provided us with a great opportunity to promote our amazing home grown produce throughout the region. Franklins started out at Leighton Buzzard and Ampthill and these were quickly joined by Bedford and St Neots. Letchworth, Huntingdon, Woburn, Olney and Biggleswade Farmers Markets were also added to the calendar. In 2003 we then opened our own Farm Shop to meet the demand and production of Christmas Turkeys and Geese. Visiting us at a farmers market or at our Farm Shop is an enjoyable day out! Our customers are looking for a unique experience that they do not receive from other outlets and we provide a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional personal service. Come and visit us!
