We are a local authority in North Yorkshire covering an area of 315.27 square miles from Staithes in the north to Speeton in south, encompassing a large part of the glorious Yorkshire coastline and the three towns of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.We have 46 councillors representing our communities who are elected every four years by local residents on a ward by ward basis.Our corporate plan 'Towards 2030' sets out our vision of working towards a prosperous borough, with a high quality of life for all.
