Accura HealthCare is an Iowa-based healthcare company that manages, operates, and/or owns 32 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, and 13 senior housing centers in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Accura embraces an upside-down organization philosophy that places residents, patients, and direct care employees at the very top of the organizational chart. In addition, Accura chooses not to be referenced as a corporate office, but rather a Resource Center. The lower an employee is on the chart (thus having more leadership responsibility) the more responsibility they have to being a resource to those above them. Accura's upside-down organizational philosophy creates an upside-down triangle that is reflected in our company's logo. Also visible within the triangle of the logo is one person caring for another; this represents the meaning of the company name. "Accura" is Latin, meaning to take care of or to give attention to. As members of the Accura team, we all embrace our mission which is "to be partners in care and family for life."
