Hazardous Materials Response Team. Regional Response Team Region 6 Michigan. Mission is to pre-plan, educate emergency responders, Government officials, chemical users in safe handling response to a Hazardous materials incident. Continue to be proactive at the Regional level and be available for service as a Regional resource. This Team is comprised of 20 Hazmat Techs and 10 Hazmat Medics working under the Muskegon County Emergency Services Director who is also the Under Sheriff for Muskegon County Sheriff Office. The Hazmat Team is also know as the West Michigan Hazardous Materials Association Inc. which is a 501 C 3 Non-Profit Corporation. It can provide a wide rage of training on site for business and public employees including many OSHA courses.
