Women Working for Oceans (W2O), in partnership with the renowned New England Aquarium, works to inform individuals about the challenges facing our ocean inspiring them to take action to ensure a healthy, sustainable blue planet for tomorrow. W2O creates opportunities for its members to engage in action at all levels, engaging legislators and advocating for change.Currently, our ocean faces threats from many sources. Our educational and advocacy events focus on marine protected areas, whale conservation, and plastic pollution to protect against these threats. The emphasis on these topics helps us to defend our native North Atlantic Right Whale, work to minimize single use waste and engage local residents in these goals. We bring a hopeful, positive message so others are empowered to make meaningful behavioral changes within their own communities. We encourage all passionate ocean lovers to become a part of this important movement to stand for our blue planet. To learn more about our work to conserve the North Atlantic Right Whale, past events, and proud partnership with the New England Aquarium, visit our website and social sites.
