MISSION: To establish a dance company of the highest caliber serving its communities through performance and education VISION:To be the leading ballet company in Northeast Ohio. The non-profit 501 (c)(3)Company is growing rapidly, building on its reputation for excellent instruction and performance. City Ballet of Cleveland, formerly Cleveland City Dance Company intends to become a significant player in the market of performance arts in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. An example includes the Company receiving grants from both the Cuyahoga Arts & Culture and Ohio Arts Council to build and original production, "The Uniquely Cleveland Nutcracker" with company dancers and several local guest artists in 2013-2014. The Company will transform its operation by improving their performances and reaping the benefits of their connection with the Cleveland City Dance studio. We are looking to build strong, collaborative relationships with other arts organizations in the area while still focusing on bringing quality ballet back to Cleveland. We are seeking financial support to help underwrite future productions. We look forward to expanding the number of performances we offer and plan to include productions at Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland. Northeast Ohio has a long history of supporting the arts and the Cleveland City Dance Company is excited to build a regional ballet company for all of Northeast Ohio to enjoy.
