Action.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience, where x = independently organized TED event.TEDxVictoria has been one the region's largest TEDx events since the organization began in December 2010. TEDxVictoria 2011: Cultivating Evolution and TEDxVictoria 2012: Momentum both took place at the Victoria Conference Centre, where audiences of 400+ gathered to share ideas and conversation over a full day of TEDx talks, interactive art, and community engagement.In 2013 TEDxVictoria moved to the McPherson Playhouse, a stunning 100-year-old theatre located in the heart of the city. TEDxVictoria 2013: Emergence nearly doubled in size to 750+, and was a stunning success.
