Mojave is changing the physics of air conditioning.Air conditioning consumes ~9% of total global electricity production and results in the emissions of 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide. And why is that? It adds tremendous value to people's lives, so the most important attribute of A/C equipment is reliability. Customers and the industry overall are interested in comfort, not innovation. But what if you could have both? Well, the time for that innovation has come. Building technology has changed in so many ways since the modern vapor compression cooling system was invented 120 years ago (yep, that was 120 years… you read that right!). Previously, buildings were dominated by their need to control the temperature inside. Today, over 50% of the energy required for air conditioning is used to dehumidify the air. What you really want to do is have an efficient way to cool the air and a relatively independent way and efficient way to manage the humidity in that air as well. That is where Mojave comes in…Mojave products have two systems inside: an innovative liquid desiccant system to manage humidity plus a modern vapor compression system to control temperature. This allows each process to perform efficiently giving not only greater comfort and improved indoor air quality but lower energy and operating costs as well.
