The Round Table Trust offers travel grants to young people from the UK who volunteer for community service projects overseas. To be considered for an award, each applicant has to satisfy various criteria (see below). So, could you qualify? - Will you be over 18 before you travel? - Will you have to cover your own travel costs? - Is your proposed community service project outside the UK? - Will the community service aspect of your trip last for at least three weeks? - Will you be willing to submit a written report about your trip on your return to the Round Table Trust and give a presentation on it to your local Round Table club? - Would you be happy for your report and photographs to be used to promote the work of the Round Table Trust? If you can answer 'yes' to all of these questions, then email trust@roundtable.org.uk or call Round Table headquarters on 0121 456 4402 to obtain an application form. Please note that the projects which the Trust supports are those through which the applicant is providing active help and support to a disadvantaged community or vulnerable group through teaching/education, health & sacial care, construction and infrastructure, and disaster or humanitarian relief. Applications for travel grants towards projects associated with exploration, conservation or environmantal/ecological issues will not be considered.
