The seed of ‘Swadeshi Handicraft Pvt. Ltd.' was sowed back in 2019, when two friends from a University in state of Maharashtra came up with the idea of direct selling of handicrafts to the customers by the artisans cutting of all the middlemen thus profiting the artisans and handicraft industry. On date 6th May 2021 ‘Swadeshi Handicraft Pvt. Ltd.' was officially launched to serve the exact same purpose. The tradition of crafts in India has very much grown around religious values, needs of common people and the ruling elite. In India, the handicraft industry still is influenced by foreign and domestic trades and it has played pivotal role in its evolution. The ‘Swadeshi Handicraft Pvt.
