For over a decade, owner Hilaire Lockwood and Hilltop Yoga have been proudly offering yoga rooted in the Ashtanga tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois through studios in mid-Michigan and Chicago. Stemming from Hilaire's 32 years of yoga practice and experience, Hilltop offers yoga for students of all levels - from beginner to advanced - including basics, slow flow, vinyasa, ashtanga, power, and pre-natal yoga as well as meditation and pranyama classes.Hilltop's acclaimed teacher training program is accredited by Yoga Alliance and the State of Michigan and is the school that has trained many of those who operate other yoga studios in the surrounding area.At Hilltop Yoga, you will experience power yoga in its truest form. Our studios are steeped in the exploration of all aspects of this practice. Power yoga is often misunderstood. The power in power yoga refers to the inner power that we all hold. That deep inner strength that not only keeps us focused, but allows us to be honest with ourselves and our limits. We carry so much love and compassion as well as depth and a desire for challenge.
