Guwahati College of Architecture [Approved by Council of Architecture, New Delhi, Higher Technical Education Govt. of Assam and affiliated to Assam Science and Technology University] was the first Architecture Institute in the North East Regions of India and now is a decade old in providing quality education to students.The college offers a 5 year Bachelor Degree in Architecture and 2 year Master Degree in Architecture (Urban Design). This year it also introduces a 2 year Master Degree program in Planning (Urban & Regional Planning)The college offers various Scholarships for B. Arch, M. Arch & M. Planning to encourage the students from financially weaker background and also the students with excellent academic background to enable them to achieve theirdreams.Eminent personalities are invited from all over India as visiting faculty and Guest Lecturers from time to time. Every month visiting faculties from Sir. J. J. College of Architecture, Mumbai and other prominent Institutes visit GCA every month to guide and nurture the students in their studies and final year thesis. GCA has collaborated with Kamla Raheja School of Architecture and Environmental Studies, Mumbai for study tour to various Heritage sites.These Study trips are later showcased in the form of Exhibition and documentation is published every year.An MOU has been signed with CEPT University, Ahmedabad for educational programmes.The college has evolved over the years and six batches of students have passed out with 100% placement track record.
