Camp Fire Orca offers youth ages 3-21 developmental programs in three areas--clubs, camping and teen outreach-support for youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Camp Fire Orca serves Pierce, Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Pacific and Grays Harbor Counties.Programs:The Teen Outreach Programs serves youth 12 to 21 years old who are experiencing homelessness and youth at risk of experiencing homelessness in Tacoma and Pierce County. Our case manager advocates on the youths' behalf and helps youth meet their (1) basic needs: clothing, food, housing, hygiene items, and (2) secondary needs: education, employment, healthcare, and transportation. Outreach services are one-on-one, free of charge and highly individualized.Traditional Clubs for ages 3-21, meet as small groups in homes, schools and community centers. The volunteer leaders and the club members decide together on the structure of their group-meeting times, projects, field trips and community service. Members can earn emblems as they complete individual as well as club goals.Outdoor experiences include, resident camp and day camp programs offered to members and the community at large. Camp Orca provides a unique outdoor setting for daily adventures and offers a traditional, age-appropriate program that includes: cookouts, hiking, archery, BB guns, songs & skits, swimming, canoeing, games & crafts.
