CGC-Egypt is the Credit Guarantee Scheme of Egypt, responsible for enabling Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSMEs) to have access to finance from financial institutions by providing guarantee cover on their target financial facilities. CGC-Egypt is a joint-stock company established in1989. The Central Bank of Egypt is the major shareholder at 20%, along with other banks & insurance company, representing the rest of the shareholders of the company. The main aim of CGC-Egypt is to create the needed ecosystem that favors entrepreneurship, and through the application of tailored guarantee products adapts to the different financial needs of the business' growth journey. CGC-Egypt lately integrated large corporates that are of government focus due to their important contribution to the Egyptian economy.
