We have bar codes located on each property and the crew needs to scan in and out when they arrive and when they finish. Slip and Fall Accidents. We locate all the potential Slip and Fall areas, all the hazardous areas and go over them with the crew. Quality Control. The President of GLSS and I personally check the locations to make sure they meet the standards of the company. Safety First. We don't take chances on anything. We make sure the snow is removed and then the pavement/sidewalk is salted. Liability. If we are contracted to do the salting, the liability is transferred to our company which saves you money and gives you peace of mind. Communication. We give you a phone number or numbers in which you can always reach someone, holidays included. You don't need to go through a call center because we have our phones with us 24/7. Treated Salt. We treat most of our salt with a liquid de-icing product which makes our salt begin to work immediately. Supplies. We know how much salt and liquid de-icing products to keep on hand in our warehouse for the entire season. We will not run short. Timing. We keep close watch on the ground temperature, the air temperature and precipitation levels.
