NEVER GIVE UP Onus (NPO) for beating Feeding and Eating Disorders was founded in 2014 by Dr. Stefania Sinesi, Psychologist and Ph.D, President and Responsible Scientific Committee and Dr. Simona Sinesi, gratuated in Economics with a long lasting experience within big multinational companies communication teams, Vice President and Head of Communication and Development, with the objective to develop, thanks to a Scientific Committee chosen by selecting professionals that operate in national and international centers of excellence, an on-line platform to support adolescents and young adults that are struggling with difficulties for food, weight and body image and families, friends and people close to whose are struggling with difficulties with food, weight and body images. NEVER GIVE UP: OBJECTIVES 〈 To change the way everyone thinks and talks about eating disorders challenging the stereotypes and stigma that people with eating disorders face 〈 To break up barriers to seek help in case of difficulties with food, weight and body image to encourage to look for early intervention 〈 To intervene by offering early treatment for Feeding and Eating Disorders in order to avoid those to continue to be cause of death 〈 Promote scientific research and training programs for professionals in the Feeding and Eating Disorders for providing scientific evidence and improving the quality of services NEVER GIVE UP: THREE PILLARS OF SERVICES On top of the development of on-line platform for people struggling with difficulties with food, weight e body image, NEVER GIVE UP wants to expand the services offer and organize them in 3 pillars: 〈 PREVENTION through field programs for adolescents, young adults and families 〈 TREATMENT through structures on the territory that offer ambulatory, semi-residential and residential services 〈 TRAINING AND RESEARCH through scientific research and training programs for professionals
