It is currently operating the Kangean Working Area in East Java in partnership with Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas).KEI is jointly-managed by Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan Petroleum Exploration. (JAPEX), and PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (EMP).
