Southern Regional College is the largest Further and Higher Education College outside of Belfast in Northern Ireland. We have a total of six campuses across the counties of Armagh and Down located in the towns of Armagh, Banbridge, Kilkeel, Lurgan, Newry & Portadown.Southern Regional College is steeped in history, with some of our predecessor Colleges dating back some 100 years. Southern Regional College was formed in August 2007 when Armagh College, Newry & Kilkeel Institute and Upper Bann Institute merged. Previous to these establishments, were the ‘Tech's' located at the various sites; which have seen many generations through their doors, from grandmother to mother and daughter educated at our campuses. Covering two district councils, Southern Regional College offers first class education and training and an exciting learning environment for Further and Higher Education. We have recently opened two brand new campuses at Armagh and Banbridge, following a £55m investment in our estates. We offer courses from recreational hobby courses through to Degree and Master's level qualifications. Our courses are offered both on a full-time and part-time basis. We also provide Apprenticeship Training programmes at Further and Higher Level, tutoring students in skills prized by employers. At Southern Regional College we are confident that we can offer students qualifications which provide clear progression pathways which are relevant for the workplace. We currently cater for approximately 32,000 students each year and have in excess of 900 members of staff.We are an award-winning College, a centre of excellence for teaching and learning and can offer students an intellectually and socially stimulating environment.
